Self-driven cable carriage that allows movement on wire ropes without a safety rope. An integrated centrifugal brake regulates the travel speed to 1.8 m/s. Additionally, the device has a hand brake for speed reduction and a dead man’s brake that automatically engages in case of operator incapacitation. The device has been specifically designed for large rope diameters. Various drives for overcoming flat cable spans or light uphill travel are available as accessories.
