4-stroke engine drive for SS1

The petrol-powered 4-stroke engine drive for the type SS1 rope access device also allows the type SS1 rope access device to move uphill without any problems. This means that the rescuer can independently navigate rope fields with a gradient of up to 36 percent (~20°) without assistance. With the motor weighing around seven kilograms, a maximum speed of 1 meter per second is possible uphill.

The drive also makes it easier to transport people: With one passenger, rope fields up to a gradient of 17 percent (~10°) are possible, with two passengers up to 8 percent (~5°). The motor has one forward and one reverse gear.
